Krier's Power Levels v1.6

There are 6 levels in this map file. They are all intended for net play. I began making them with phorte d9 and made the most recent one with d20. They are in reverse chronological order of when I made them. If you're the kind of player that wines about levels that are too complicated, don't even bother with these, your brain is too small for them. Go play pong instead.

Thanks to Steve Israelson for making Phorte and for not demanding shareware fees (yet).

Send me your movies. Please, send me movie files of net games in my levels.

The House of L'air Epias: This is probably the last level I'll make for Marathon I. It is in a vacuum, so the only weapons are pistols, plasma and an occasional alien gun. Sounds boring? Well, I've always thought that chain gun and missile launcher get boring as hell after a while. So far everyone who's played this level has noooo problem with the action of the plasma and pistol. What happens is people don't run away so much. There's more confrontations and less chases since no one ever has the bigger weapon advantage.
Intended for: This level can be played with just about any number of people. Anywhere from 2 to 7 players is fine. Players must know how to use their up and down keys and it sure as hell helps to strafe when using these weapons.
Level contains: pistols, plasma, occasional alien gun, invisibility, nightvision
There is a light switch in the basement, which you should switch off if you get bluevision.
There is an oxygen panel on the top floor, but you'll probably not live long enough to need it.
The alien gun appears on the top floor where oxygen is, most other weapons appear in the basement.
All ammo is on the main floor around the "house"
Errors> On the top floor, you'll briefly get stuck on your way out. It's annoying, but all you have to do is stop running forward, and then start running again. Happens about half the time, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it.

Toxic Falls: The only probem with marathon's engine is that you can't have space above and below something (can't have two overlapping polygons that have points in common). In Toxic Falls, I tried to create the impression of space under and over. This level has a hundred and some polygons, people who are not using powermacs or ethernet connections may get shitty redraw rates. This level has not undergone a lot of testing.
Intended for: 4-8 players (three might be a little too slow), intermediate to advanced
Level contains: plasma, chain gun, missile launcher, alien gun, invincibility
There is a light switch on the 2nd floor in front of invincibility that only turns the light on. Once on, the light can't be turned off.
The ammo is almost all on the ground floor in front of where the missile launchers appear. (The areas labeled "Ammo Hold")
There's an error in the level, but it's really minor and won't cause a crash- when you're walking in the corridors around the elevator, you may get stuck for a second. Only happens occasionally.

Body Part Accelerator: There are too damn many big levels out there, and a lot of the small ones suck. So here's a small one that's not crappy.
Intended for: 2-4 players of any skill level
Level contains: Magnum, Plasma, Chain gun, Flame (flame appears very rarely and in random location), Invisibility (invisibilty appears occasionally in random locations)
If someone is just standing there on the observation deck, flip the platform switch and they will be crushed to death.
Errors> There was an error in the level that would cause a freeze, but as of this version 1.5, it's fixed.

The Double Helix: A double helix is a spiral within a spiral. At the center of this level is two spiraling staricaises. They are overlapping but have no points in common. It's a similar trick to 5-D space, but it's not very confusing (unless you check your map!).
Intended for: 3-6 players intermediate to advanced skill level. (if you can get a beginner to use his up and down keys, he can play too)
Level contains: all weapons (alien gun very rare and in random location), invincibiliy
	 How to get:
Invincibility: When you see invincibility you have to flip the platform switch and then run onto the platform that rises up in front of the niche where invincibilty is. You can't run in and get it until the platform goes back down.

The Palace of Tricks: Palace of tricks was my second level and is a big step up from the first. Some people consider it better than any of the other levels.
Intended for: 2-5 intermediate or advanced players (as simple as it seems, this level can be really hard for beginners).
Level contains: all weapons, invisibility, invincibility (there is no ammo for rocket)
	 How to get:
Flamethrower and Alien Gun: There is a transporter in the upper left corner of the map. When you transport, you have to begin running right when you appear, because the poly you transport to is also a transporter.
	 Tricks:
If you see a person in the glass box, stand by the switch on the lower left of the box, and when they transport, flip it. They will be wounded by an overhead crushing plaform when they appear.
There are several doors that close when you walk under them, preventing people from chasing you. (We call them "anti-chase walls" where I play)
You can go into outer space by standing on the windowsill. One of the windows will let you walk through it to get back

The Bog Pit: The Bog Pit was my first level. It's big and complicated and the flow is pretty bad, but there's a lot of good shit in it.
	 Intended for: 4-7 advanced players.
Level contains: all weapons (alien gun appears VERY rarely and in a random location), infared vision, invisibility, invincibility
	 How to get:
Invincibility- Between the two nads is a sniping perch where you can shoot down on the people in the nads. Face the right nad and press your action key. The wall in front of you will lift up. Jump across to the ledge on the other side and a large door will open revealing a red room to your right. Go in. Invincibility is there occasionally.
Flamethrower- The flamethrower is in a secret door. Near the top of the map, one panel of the wall should be pulsating. If you can't find it, use the map editor to find it.
